PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment device for a glass substrate capable of inexpensively rising a temperature of sheet heaters hard to raise its temperature, such as the uppermost and lower most sheet heaters adjacent to the other sheet heaters only at their one side, whereby the heat easily escapes in comparison with the sheet heaters adjacent to the other sheet heaters at both sides, similarly as the other sheet heaters, in the heat treatment device for the glass substrate provided with the sheet heaters in multistage inside of a furnace casing. SOLUTION: Cover bodies for preventing heat radiation are mounted on the uppermost and/or lowermost sheet heaters. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
