PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a resin-coated metal sheet wherein the surface of a metal sheet is coated with a polyolefin, by simplifying a process, and the resin-coated metal sheet manufactured thereby. SOLUTION: The resin-coated metal sheet M2 is manufactured by a method wherein a modified polyolefin R1 is synthesized by heating and melting a mixture, which contains at least a polyolefin and unsaturated carboxylic acids, in a first extruder 3 to be extruded from the single layer forming T-die 11 attached to the first extruder 3 in a molten state and the surface of the metal sheet M1 is coated with a single resin comprising a modified polyolefin layer using the pressure bonding means 6 arranged on the outlet side of the T-die 11.
