PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polybutylene terephahalate resin composition having a short molding cycle, excellent productivity, high mechanical properties, especially high impact resistance, excellent hydrolytic resistance and suitably usable for a wide range of applications such as automotive parts or electrical/electronic parts. SOLUTION: The polybutylene terephthalate resin composition is characterized as comprising the following. (A) 100 pts. wt. of a polybutylene terephthalate having≤30 equivalents/t terminal carboxy group content,≥175°C crystallization temperature under temperature-decreasing conditions or≥175°C crystallization temperature under the temperature-decreasing conditions and≤300 ppm (weight ratio) residual tetrahydrofuran content, (B) 5-100 pts. wt. of a polycarbonate resin, (C) 0.01-1 pt. wt. of an organophosphorus compound and (D) 0.5-50 pts. wt. of an impact resistance improving agent.
