PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable and low-cost battery driving type wireless mouse capable of corresponding to changes with a lapse of time or an environmental variation even after manufacturing it and maintaining always suitable outputs by automatically adjusting characteristics when battery replacement or the like is necessary. SOLUTION: The battery driving type wireless mouse is provided with a combination of a light emitting element LED for extracting the rotational quantity of a built-in ball as an analog output of two phases and two light receiving elements PTr and two comparators CP for converting outputs from respective light receiving elements PTr into digital outputs. A plurality of output characteristic switching resistors RC are connected to the comparators CP and a resistor selection control part 6 selects the resistor corresponding to the comparator CP generating a suitable output out of the output characteristic switching resistors RC at prescribed timing.
