PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely obtain a structural analysis model by automatically restoring an abnormality of shape data. SOLUTION: In this device and method, for CAD (computer aided design) data of an object of structural analysis 100a regulated in shape by combination of a plurality of lines, shape data 100b for structural analysis which are assemblies of a plurality of line data corresponding to each of lines are generated, and the shape data are arithmetically processed based on a program, whereby a structural analysis model 100c mesh-divided to a plurality of elements is automatically generated. An independent end point P12 (P14) not shared by the lines is detected from the shape data 100b, and an independent line L12 (L14) having the independent end point P12 (P14) is extended and contracted in the extending direction and laid in a contact state with the other line L11 (L13).
