PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile transportation ship capable of securing a huge section expanded in the longitudinal direction in the central part in a hull width direction under a freeboard deck as a space for vehicles to load more vehicles and compensating deterioration of transmission efficiency accompanying electric propulsion by improving propulsion efficiency to be able to reduce the fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This automobile transportation ship is provided with motors 34a, 34b driven by electricity generated by the drive of a power generator 26 by a prime mover and contra-rotating propellers 35 rotated by the motors 34a, 34b.
