PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device for dregs from a melting furnace, and a control method for that, capable of eliminating generation of fusion or cracking of molds by high-temperature dregs including molten slag and molten metal discharged from the melting furnace, and achieving high peeling performance. SOLUTION: This carrying device for dregs is provided with a mold conveyor 10 to carry dregs including molten slag 32 or molten metal 33 discharged from the melting furnace 30. The mold conveyor 10 is provided with a plurality of molds 11 having an alloy layer on a dregs receiving surface. At a mold return part of the mold conveyor 10, between a dregs discharge position B and a dregs drop position A, a cooling water film downflow means 13 to cool the molds 11 to a temperature range of about 100-300°C by downflow of a water film is provided.
