PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure of a transmission, the transmission with its cooling structure, and a cooling method capable of reducing running costs without cooling water and any restriction on a space of the transmission and obtaining high cooling effects. SOLUTION: A speed change mechanism is housed in a casing 102 in the cooling structure 110 of the transmission 100. The cooling structure 110 comprises an evaporator 112 performing an endothermal action in the casing 102 by using refrigerant filled in the casing 102, and a cooling device 110 having a compressor 113 compressing the refrigerant, a condenser 114 condensing the compressed refrigerant, and an expansion valve 116 giving adiabatic expansion on liquefied refrigerant and supplying the liquefied refrigerant to the evaporator 112.
