PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary machining device which is so constituted that the overall length of the device is short and the whole of the device is compact. SOLUTION: This device has: a stator 12, which is fixed inside an external casing 11; a rotor 13, wherein both sides of a spindle 22 is supported by bearings 20 and 21 arranged before and behind the external casing 11 and which is arranged so that it can rotate around the axis center of the stator 12 and advance and retract; a machining tool mounting mechanism 71 provided in the front section of the spindle 22; a hydraulic cylinder 14, which is provided outside the external casing 11 and wherein a piston rod 54 is arranged in parallel with the spindle 22; and a coupling member 43 for coupling the rear section of the spindle 22 and the piston rod 54. The device performs machining by pushing the machining tool 72 fixed to the machining tool mounting mechanism 71, which is provided in the front section of the spindle 22, against a work-piece by the hydraulic cylinder 14 with the rotor 13 rotated at a high speed.
