PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiviral agent containing a 2-aminophenoxazin-3-one derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt or ester thereof as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The antiviral agent contains the 2-aminophenoxazin-3-one derivative represented by formula I (wherein, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each independently a group arbitrarily selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C lower alkyl group, a 1-4C acyl group and a 1-4C acyloxy group) or the pharmacologically acceptable salt or ester thereof as an active ingredient. In another aspect, the antiviral agent contains a 3-aminophenoxazin-2-one derivative represented by formula II (wherein, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each independently a group arbitrarily selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C lower alkyl group, a 1-4C acyl group and a 1-4C acyloxy group) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt or ester thereof as an active ingredient.
