PURPOSE: A system and a method for connecting a multimedia call through an individual path are provided to ensure a multimedia call with excellent voice call quality by transferring a voice call through a voice path and data through a data path. CONSTITUTION: An origination side base station(21) is coupled to an origination mobile terminal(200) through a wireless network. A receiving side base station(35) is coupled to a receiver mobile terminal(37) through a wireless network. The base stations(21,35) receive voice signals and data signals from the terminals(20,37) and transmit them through individual paths. A voice communication unit(200) receives a voice signal from the origination side base station(21) and transmits it to the receiving side base station(35), and includes two MSCs(Mobile Switching Center)(23) coupled to each other through a PSTN(25). The MSC(23) connects a voice call paths between both base stations(21,35). A data communication unit(300) receives a data signal from the origination side base station(21) and transfers it to the receiving side base station(35), and generates and controls a data call path connection between both base stations(21,35). |
