PURPOSE: An electronic device and a controlling method thereof are provided to automatically adjust a volume of other sound input channel under a predetermined level when a predetermined sound input channel is selected. CONSTITUTION: Individual volume adjusters(12a,12b,12c) individually adjust an output volume of an input sound signal inputted through the sound input channels(10a,10b,10c). A mixer(14) mixes the sound signal output from the individual volume adjuster and outputs the mixed sound signal to an integrated volume adjuster(16). A speaker(18) outputs the sound signal. A selector(22) selects the sound input channel. A microcomputer(20) controls the individual volume adjuster depending on the selection of the selector. A memory(24) stores a volume setting value and an initial volume value set by a user.
