PURPOSE: A VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)-based collect call service method and a system therefor are provided so that it is possible for a caller to use a voice call service by a VoIP system without previously buying a prepayment card. CONSTITUTION: A termination-side gateway(130a) connects with origination-side gateways(130b,130c) through a VoIP network, and connects a voice call with a caller's terminal in response to a collect call request received from the caller's terminal through the VoIP network. A collect call switch(140) connects with a callee's terminal(120) through a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) or a mobile communication network, and sets the first link with the termination-side gateway(130a) in response to the collect call request received from the termination-side gateway(130a). The collect call switch(140) sets the second link with the callee's terminal(120), connects the voice call in response to a collect call reception request received from the callee's terminal(120), and performs billing for the second link.
