PURPOSE: A multiple nucleus half-metallocene catalyst having both metallocene derivatives as a ligand and a method for preparing a styrene polymer by using the catalyst are provided, to obtain a polymer having a high activity, an excellent stereoregularity, a high melting point and various molecular weight distributions. CONSTITUTION: The multiple nucleus half-metallocene catalyst is represented by the formula 1, 2 or 3, wherein M and M' are identical or different each other and are a transition element of groups 3-10; Cp1 and Cp2 are a cycloalkanedienyl ligand or its derivative; Q, Q' and Q'' are a sandwich-type metallocene derivative represented by the formula 9; and X1, X2, X3 and X4 are a delta-ligand and are H, a halogen atom, OH, an alkyl group of C1-C20, a cycloalkyl group, an alkylsilyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkenyloxy group, a thioalkoxy group, an alkylsiloxy group, an amide group, an amide group, an alkoxy alcohol group, an alcohol amine group, a carboxyl group, a sulfonyl group, an aryl group of C6-C40, an alkylaryl group, an arylalkyl group, an arylsilyl group, a haloaryl group, an aryloxy group, an arylalkoxy group, a thioaryloxy group, an arylsiloxy group, an arylalkylsiloxy group, an arylamide group, an arylalkylamide group, an aryloxy alcohol group, an alcohol arylamine group or an arylaminoaryloxy group.
