FIELD: methods for making cutting tools, namely methods for making cutting portion of tool by surfacing in ultrasonic field. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of exciting ultrasonic oscillations in welded part during surfacing process; performing surfacing process of cutting portion of cutting tool in zone of node of standing ultrasonic wave where maximum effect of ultrasound action is achieved. Method allows to enhance quality of surfaced cutting portion of cutting tool, to improve cohesion strength of welded layer and material of tool holder, to increase mean time period of keeping strength of cutting tool, to decrease range of heat treatment of cutting tool of quick cutting steel. EFFECT: enhanced quality of cutting tool made according to such method. 3 dwg |
