FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves inserting finishing member between parts to be sewn together and laying finishing stitch. Finishing member and one of parts to be sewn are put with their face sides oriented inward, and other part is put onto finishing member so that its cut is arranged above finishing member. Method further involves laying stitch; bending second part margin and laying z-shaped stitch over resultant margin bending line; forming fringe from second part margin and ironing finishing member on fringe; overstitching margin of first part to be sewn and margin of finishing member at reverse side of article.
