摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-input apparatus for reconstructing a single image from a plurality of low-resolution and reduced-size images of an object which are formed in a predetermined region on a light-receiving element by an array of microlenses, for enabling formation of a high-resolution single reconstructed image in the case where the distance between the object and the microlens array is large (infinite, for instance), and for enabling coloring of the reconstructed image. SOLUTION: The image-input apparatus has an arrangement wherein the relative position between the microlens 1a and a corresponding light receiving cell 3a in the predetermined region for forming a reduced-size image of an object is differentiated by every other microlens 1a, and the light receiving cell 3a is permitted to define a plurality of regions therein so that a color filter (for example, a primary color filter or a complimentary color filter) is disposed in every defined region.
