<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a field area on a form and then set a picture character string, formed by repeating proper lengths of characters in the field area by intuitive and simple operations. <P>SOLUTION: From the displayed picture character string, repeated characters and the width of the repeated characters are acquired, and based on positional coordinates indicating the dragged position of a pointing device on a displayed form and the width of the repeated characters, the number of repetition is calculated; and based on the repeated characters and the calculated number of repetition, the picture character string is edited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
