<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method by which a customer customize, as he or she likes, setting of existing data produced by a producer side which produces music data such as a ringtone melody and the data set in the customized manner with copy protection information given thereto is downloaded to a terminal such as a portable radio telephone set which receives data. <P>SOLUTION: A server decomposes music data of a ringtone melody etc., into notes, sound volumes, a tempo, etc., and a customer customizes each of them and temporarily saves them on a server. Lastly, the server combines each of pieces of data and adds copy protection information to generate one file, whose data are downloaded to a terminal such as a customer's portable radio telephone terminal which receives data.
