PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of such a fault that a sliding door is opened with a delay with noise if a latch is left in a striker when quickly opening the sliding door in a door connecting device for engaging and disengaging the latch on the swing door side with and from the striker on the sliding door side.

SOLUTION: An angular part, facing an inclined part 30 of a connecting part of the striker 26, of the latch 31 is formed as an inclined face 32. The inclined part 30 quickly abuts on the inclined face 32 to rotate the latch 31 in an unlatching direction.
