PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a marker of a recording medium to be set/modified in a simplified manner. SOLUTION: In a disc recording/reproducing unit which records or reproduces recording information to or from a disc recording medium, after an address of the marker for a reproduced data is set or updated in a recording means, an address data on the recording medium corresponding to the updated marker is recorded on the recording medium when an address setting check operation is executed.
