PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cartridge capable of easily automating the assembling work of a door and a tension coil into a cartridge case. SOLUTION: This cartridge is provided with a door side spring latch part 63 provided at a slide door 6, a case side spring latch part 8 formed at an inside plane of a lower half 1B, a spring placing mount 16 provided being adjacent the case side spring latch part 8, a door side spring latch part 63 of a pin shape extended to a lower case side from the slide door 6, and a tension coil spring 7 of which the one end part is latched to the door side spring latch part 63 and the other end part is latched to the case side spring latch part 8 and which energizes the door to a closed position of the magnetic tape drawing opening ID, the spring placing mount 16 is formed in the different direction from a expansion and compression direction of the tension coil spring 7.
