PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for fixing coated optical fibers which can improve working efficiency in arraying and fixing a plurality of single optical fibers and can prevent occurrence of an error in arraying. SOLUTION: The holder 10 for fixing the coated optical fibers is formed with a plurality of rows of grooves 12 on the surface of a stage 11. The single optical fibers are respectively housed in the plurality of the rows of the grooves 12. Also, the respective grooves 12 are displayed by colors different from each other. The colors different from each other of the respective grooves 12 correspond to the colors separately imparted to the single fibers housed therein. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
