PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with high display quality by applying a liquid drop including spacers to a substrate so as to be contained in a non-pixel region on the substrate and further preventing flowing out and interference of the applied liquid drop. SOLUTION: Protruding parts 22 to partition the non-pixel region 12 of a substrate 10 so as to prevent flowing out and interference of the liquid drop 15 discharged from a nozzle 13 and attached to the substrate 10 in an extended direction of the non-pixel region 12 is provided thereon. The arranged liquid drop 15 is contained between the protruding parts 22 of the non-pixel region 12 and does not run off to the pixel region 11 side.
