PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mounting of spectacle lenses, to prevent cracking of the lenses during fitting and to prevent the lenses from becoming weak in the joints in use. SOLUTION: Holes 21 are made in inner and outer edge parts of a lens 20 and a pipe screw 10 with a screw 11 formed on the inner face is inserted into each hole 21. A mounting part 2 of a bridge 1 and a fitting part 5 of an endpiece 4 are kept along the surface side of the lens 20 and holes in their leading ends are brought into line with the holes 21 in the lens 20, respectively. Setscrews 16 are inserted from the surface side of the lens 20 into the holes in the mounting parts 2, 5, engaged with the screws 11 on the inner faces of the pipe screws 10 and fastened. By this fastening of the setscrews 16, the pipe screws 10 are extended and enlarged in diameter and the outer surfaces 12 of the pipe screws 10 are strongly pressed on the insides of the screw holes 21 in the lenses 20.
