PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device which can read fluorescent information from DNA samples or the like arranged in the form of an array at a high speed by suppressing an unevenness of detection characteristics. SOLUTION: A plurality of optical scanning probes 3A, 3B and 3C incorporating an optical scanning optical system including a condenser lens in an edge part are held with a positioning holding means 4 on an XY scanning stage 5 in order to optically scan a number of sample spots which are specimens arranged in DNA array arranged on a slide glass 2. The positioning means 4 is formed of a voice coil motor roughly movable on an optical axis direction of the condenser lens system and a motion motion actuator minutely movable in a three-axis direction of each optical scanning probe. The fluorescent information can be obtained by performing positioning control maintaining a state for substantially focusing light by each optical scanning probe on the surface of the specimen, and suppressing the unevenness of the detection characteristics.
