PURPOSE: Provided is a neutral snow-removing and ice-thawing agent, which uses easily available shellfish shells and is prepared by a simple process at low cost. CONSTITUTION: The snow-removing and ice-thawing agent is prepared by the method comprising the steps of: collecting shellfish shells and crushing them into a size of coarse sand; adding an adequate amount of hydrochloric acid to the crushed shellfish shells and agitating them to form calcium chloride(CaCl2) particles, in which calcium carbonate(CaCO3) as a main component of the shellfish shells reacts with hydrochloric acid and are attached to the crushed shell powder, or not; adding caustic soda solution to neutralize remaining hydrochloric acid and to form salt(NaCl) crystals; and recovering calcium chloride attached to the surface of shell powder, calcium chloride particles dissolved in a solvent and salt, by a drying method. |
