PURPOSE: Provided is a piezoelectric ceramic having crystal axes oriented in one direction under the electric field, which can be used for a sensor, an actuator, a filter, a surface acoustic wave(SAW), and etc. CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic is an amorphous Li2B4O7 piezoelectric ceramic produced by a process comprising the steps of: mixing Li2O and B2O3 in the ratio of 1:2 and melting; cooling the mixture rapidly to produce amorphous Li2B4O7; depositing gold to be used as electrodes on both wide surfaces of the amorphous Li2B4O7 by using a sputtering method; applying the electric field of 1-50Hz and 0.1-10V/mm and crystallizing in an electric furnace of 450deg.C or higher.
