METHOD FOR OPERATING VIBRATION MODE IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for operating a vibration mode in a mobile communication terminal is provided to reduce battery consumption and extend a call standby time by changing a vibration scheme according to the residual charging quantity of the battery. CONSTITUTION: If a vibration mode is set up(S21), a control unit checks the residual quantity of a battery in a predetermined period(S22). The control unit judges the degree of the residual quantity of the battery. If the residual quantity of the battery is sufficient(S23), the control unit sets vibration strength so that the vibration strength is changed by 3 stages from a weak stage to a strong stage according as a time passes after receiving a call(S26). If the residual quantity of the battery is medium(S24), the control unit sets the vibration strength so that the vibration strength is changed by 2 stages from the weak stage to a medium stage according as the time passes after receiving the call(S27). If the residual quantity of the battery is insufficient(S25), the control unit sets the vibration strength so that the vibration strength is maintained by the weak stage when the call is received(S28).
