A rotor (26) moves inside and eccentric to, a cylindrical surface (20) of a housing bore (22), and engages via radial vane sliders (30) on the surface, forming vane cells. The sliders engage on the surface via sealing rails (40). The rails have cylindrical contact faces (42) adapted to the curvature of the cylindrical surface, and are fastened to the slider pivoted about an axis (48), which extends along the outer edge of the slider. Each slider has a convex-cylindrical bearing surface along its outer edge. The sliders are controlled by cams.
