摘要 A bushing 304 and washer 320 form a bearing assembly 106 at the outer radial end of a stator vane 302, with a bearing arrangement possibly at the inner end also and possibly of the same form. The bearing assembly may rotate relative to the vane shaft 302 or the case 306 to even out the wear around the circumference of the bushing 304. However, the bushing 304 may be designed so that if the relative wear rate between the bushing and the vane or case is high, the bushing will not rotate relative to that material. An axial bearing face 338 of the shaft bears against a radial flange on the bushing 304, disposed in a recessed portion 308 of the casing 306, so that in use a pressure differential applies a radially outward force thereby minimizing leakage. The diameter of the axial bearing face is chosen depending on the wear rate of the material used.
