A microwave oven equipped with a toaster and a method of controlling the same. Particularly, the microwave oven equipped with the toaster is provided with a plurality of heaters (23,24,25) and a plurality of buttons (12a,12b) each corresponding to one or more heaters (23,24,25) to selectively operate the heaters (23,24,25) provided in the toaster, thereby minimizing a power consumption resulting from an unnecessary operation of the heaters (23,24,25). Further, a consumption current is controlled by preventing the toaster and the magnetron (MGT) from simultaneously operating, thereby being applicable to, for example, the wall mounted microwave oven having a limited consumption current. <IMAGE> |
