Floor drain with fire protection function has standpipe containing/consisting of fire prevention material, which melts at high temperatures

The floor drain consists of a conventional drain housing with cylindrical standpipe (1) and fire protection device, and a bell cover. The standpipe is of conventional shape with a cylindrical chamber (5), and consists of plastic, which melts at high temperatures. The chamber is filled with a fire prevention material (25), which foams at high temperatures, and has a cover ring (6) for its lower aperture (6a). The material increases its volume at set temperatures, e.g. between 120degreesC and 180degreesC. The standpipe may also consist of the same material. The housing is pref. of stainless steel or cast metal.
