The bone pin (1), designed to be implanted axially in bone fragments to be joined together, has a protector in the form of a plug (5) with a through channel for the pin and a hole for inserting a locking element (12) to hole the pin and plug in the required relative positions. The locking element hole lies perpendicular to the bone pin channel, meeting it at a tangent, and the locking element itself is shaped, e.g. in the form of a rectangular wedge, to fix the plug and pin together by a compressive contact. In addition, the head (14) of the locking element can be detached after fitting. |
