Mixtures of biocidal agents contain: (a) benzylhemiformal (BHF); and (b) 1,2-benzisothiazolinone (BIT) or its sodium, potassium or lithium salts. An Independent claim is also included for production of the mixture by mixing the BHF and BIT optionally together with solvents, extenders, surfactants and further antimicrobial agents.
