The dental implant has a threaded enossal part (1) for screwing into the bone of a human jaw. It uses a tapered male thread with a narrow apical end (4), a step, a middle region (5) and a coronal region (6). A final region of the thread (10) blends into a conical head (9) forming the middle region (2) of the implant. This carries a projecting coronal portion (3) which consists of a hollow shell (13,15,16) with apertures for keying of the material of the artificial tooth.
