Each of the pipes is provided with a flange at the edge, both designed in order to fit into each other. Two laterally positioned levers are swivel mounted with their lower ends to a transversal element acting on the lower of the two flanges with the tensioning forces created by two helical springs and keeping the two pipes tightly joined. The connection is secured by a screw inserted into the upper segment of an S-shaped element attached to one of the pipes.
