A device for managing and storing automated input of special signs or chains of signs/characters e.g. PINs, passwords, into a computer. A device having a display (2.1), a mobile storage element and an independent control is connected into the signal path between a keyboard (3) and computer (1) and can read desired special sign/character(s) out of the mobile store and send as an input sequence of signs/characters to the computer.
