[Also in Division B5] A nylon reinforced non-flat spotting vehicle tyre is produced by (1) stretching a nylon tyre cord at least 3% while heating it to 300- 350‹ F. for about 60 seconds (said tyre cord having a denier above 1000 and having uniformly diffused throughout its individual yarns an organic hydroxylated plasticizer in a proportion sufficient to decrease its cord modulus at 25‹ C. by at least 10% (see Heading B5B); (2) thereafter embedding the cord into rubber plies by dipping in an adhesive solution and passing it through a second drying zone heated to between 400‹ and 500‹ F. for 20 to 60 seconds while stretching the cord about 9%; and (3) fabricating a rubber vehicle tyre from the plies.
