PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain an optical head device having a high light utilization efficiency with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Grid-like rugged parts 2 of a rectangular shape having 1.2μm depth and 10μm pitch (period) are formed on a first glass substrate 1. A phase difference sheet (λ/4 sheet) 5 made of polycarbonate is adhered with a transparent tacky adhesive onto one surface of a second glass substrate 4. A silica thin film 6 having 0.03μm thickness is previously formed by a sputtering method on the surface of liquid crystal 3 side of the phase difference sheet 5. |
