PURPOSE: A method is provided to save radio resources and costs by permitting mobile communication subscribers to exchange bell sound data through short messages. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(ST11 to ST13) of permitting a user terminal(10) to make a request on the search of bell sound to an opposite party terminal(30), receive bell sound data, and store the received data; a step(ST14 to ST18) of permitting the user terminal to select a bell sound from among the stored bell sound data, make a request on the transmission of the selected bell sound to the opposite party terminal where the selected bell sound is stored, download the bell sound data, and store the received data; and a step(ST19) of using the downloaded bell sound.
