PURPOSE: A method is provided to ring the phone through a vibrating sound or silent icon when the telephone call from the telephone number registered in the phone book is received. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(204) of selecting a bell mode or a vibration mode in a phone book; a step(205,206) of selecting the type of bell or melody and setting a bell or melody when a bell or melody is selected; a step(207) of setting a vibration mode when a vibration mode is selected; a step(209) of selecting a silent icon and setting a silent mode when a silent mode is selected; and a step(211) of selecting the type of bell or melody and setting a vibration to bell mode when a vibration to bell mode is selected.
