PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing a valve seat for a butterfly valve is provided to allow for a mass production of valve seat by processing the inclined surface of the valve seat in a convenient and easy manner. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a rotation unit for fixing a seat to a rotating disk and rotating the rotating disk; a fixing frame for permitting a horizontal frame to move in a vertical direction; a rotation unit(200) fixed to the horizontal frame and which converts an axial rotation into a linear motion; a power transmission unit(300) for converting the linear motion of the rotation unit into a horizontal rotating motion; a position shift unit(400) which moves in a horizontal direction in accordance with the horizontal rotation of the power transmission unit; a cutter unit(500) fixed to the position shift unit and which machines an inclined surface of the seat; and a guide plate(600) coupled with the position shift unit and which guides the position shift unit in such a manner that the position shift unit moves in a semi-circular pattern in a horizontal direction.
