PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of developers of specific colors by the heat from a fixing device in a standing-by state and to maintain the uniform developer quality of respective colors with lapse of time so as to obtain always good images by providing an image forming device with a control means for controlling developing devices to rotate these devices while this image forming device is in the standing-by state. SOLUTION: The controller 30 operates a timer 36 set at the prescribed time (for example, 5 minutes) to start timing when the standing-by state is attained. The controller 30 keeps standing by before the timing out of this timer 36 and drives a belt motor 30 and a developing unit rotating motor 50 to rotationally move a photoreceptor belt and the developing unit at the point of time of elapse of five minutes. The controller stops the driving in a prescribed rotating position. The timer 36 is restarted and the similar processing is repeated in the case of the absence of a writing signal. The specific developing devices, toner housing parts and toner cartridges in the developing unit are prevented from being affected by the heat from the fixing unit in such a manner. |
