The burner assembly (1) comprises of a combustion chamber (2) comprising of a heat permeable surface (3) that is adapted for the passage of the combustible mixture. Above that is located an isolation layer (8) and a heat diffusing layer (11). The fuel and combustion air mixture is combusted within the combustion chamber and the layers heated. The diffusing layer diffuses the heat through the heat reflective surface toward the oven or curing kiln.
