t is disclosed herein a repeated-use floating antipollution dam-mesh meant for the collection of floating solids and oil slicks. It is composed of a mesh 7 made of durable nylon tread inpenetrable to dispersed chemicals and infrared solar radiation, of plastic support rods 1 vertically fixed on the mesh surface to keep it stretched, incorporated spherical floats 3 hanging from the middle of each plastic support rod 1 to hold the floating dam-mesh in the vertical and controlled draught position, the lead rope 5, the KORALON rope 6, and the nylon thread 8 (armouring) interconnecting all constituent parts, fixedly. The deployment mode is very simple. The floating antipollution dam-mesh can be deployed from any kind of craft properly manoeuvering, with respect to the shape of the pollution, and return to its initial state by confining the floating solids and oil slicks therein. The confinement mode allows either the sucking of the confined solids by adequate means (skimmers, pumps, kegs etc) or their discharge at the closest coast. After use, the floating antipollution dam-mesh is easily collected, washed by a cleaning press machine and stored for reuse, if need arises. |
