The regulating sequence is useful for anther specific expression of a nucleotide sequence of interest, for example, a sequence whose expression is controlled by said regulating sequence that causes full ablation of the anther in the early stages of its development and makes it possible to obtain androsterile plants which are useful for the production of hybrid seeds.
