PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the lubricity to lubrication-required portions in a rocker box, by devising the configuration of an oil groove formed in a rocker arm and the shape of a valve bridge, and devising the lubrication structure in the rocker box. SOLUTION: In the lubricating device of a valve gear in which the rocker arm 8 is rotatably supported by a rocker arm shaft 6 extended horizontally on a cylinder head 2 of an engine 1 so as to supply the lubrication oil from the rocker arm 8, a lubrication oil sump 36 which receives the lubrication oil from the rocker arm 8 is formed at an upper portion of the valve gear, and the lubrication oil is supplied from the lubrication oil sump 36 to valves or the like.
