PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition stable against water containing a chlorine substance such as chlorine (Cl<SB>2</SB>), hypochlorous acid (HClO) and hypochlorite ion (ClO<SP>-</SP>), particularly a rubber composition stable against chlorine water used for an apparatus brought into contact with service water containing a chlorine-containing bactericide. SOLUTION: At least one rubber (a) containing substantially no double bonds in the main chain selected from an ethylene/propylene rubber and an ethylene/propylene/diene rubber, a diene rubber (b) containing a double bond in the main chain, a filler (c), a vulcanization system (d) and a plurality of specific antioxidants are compounded (e).
