PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing damage of a hose 12 which feeds pressure water for water-jetting to a jet nozzle 5, the method being available for a case where a water-jetting method and a spliced pile construction method are both implemented, and to provide a device for preventing damage of the hose. SOLUTION: According to the method, a pile-side engaging tool 15 is fixed to an upper end of a leading pile 8 which is placed on a lower side, and a hose-side engaging tool 16 is attached to a pipe joint 14 connected to an upper end of the hose 12, followed by engaging the engaging tools 15, 16 with each other. In this manner tension is applied to the hose 12, and therefore the hose 12 is prevented from loosening. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
